I have built many Magento solutions now and there is really nothing it can’t do, it can be setup easily and be up an running in a short time. OUT 4X4 have a magento store as their main website, this is quite a simple setup with no integration to accounting systems or anything more than a MailChimp mailing list but as we build this business we have the opportunity to upgrade and integrate these features at a later date. On the other hand when we launched the new Hunting for George online store a requirement was to have it synced with their online accounting system, SAASU. There are modules available and with a little customisation all products are linked between the two systems, orders are transfered automatically into the accounting system and inventory is updated.
